After a departure day in Lyon under a bright sun, days 2 and 3 of the Sun Trip France adventure will have reserved many surprises for the participants. Clouds, rain, permanent headwind, the 400 km to cycle weren’t easy!
100% solar recharging was therefore not possible for everyone, there were many technical glitches, but the good atmosphere remained in place and mutual aid was omnipresent. Participants seek adventure, at the end of the street, at the end of the field. At this time, among the starters, only the Belgian Patrick Abrams had to give up, for technical reasons.
Meetings with people are also permanent, like in the video above and these few shots taken in the wheel of Paul Baudry, who rolls for the colors of Groupama during this adventure. Everywhere remains the same curiosity for the solar bike, everywhere the kindness of the French.
After 2 days without sun, it was the Belgian Géry Gevers who arrived first in Blois, to strike a pose in front of the superb castle of the city. Then a small group was welcomed in the town hall of Blois by Joël Patin, sports assistant, Christophe Degruelle, President of the urban community of Blois, Marie-Noëlle Chalumeau, director of Éthic Étapes Val de Loire – Blois.
Tomorrow we are heading to the Château de Chambord, with a few new participants who have joined the group this evening.
