This special Sun Trip France event is organized with no competition in mind. Compliance with the rules set out below is solely left to the participants’ goodwill.
Itinerary
We request that participants be present for all group activities. In order to be eligible for the “100% solar” label and the “Super-adventurer” challenge, participants must reach each stopover on time.
Aside from this, participants are free to determine their course between each stopover. Optional waypoints will be added to the route, providing additional opportunities to meet up for those who wish.
The “100% Solar” Label
Adventurers managing to cover the whole route charging their batteries solely with solar energy will be awarded the “100% Solar” label. It is up to them to manage their itinerary and pace according to the weather and contingencies.
The “Never Give Up” Challenge
This challenge will highlight participants who cover the longest distance, go through designated mountain passes and pass specific checkpoints on the route. Each feat will be rewarded by a point system. This challenge rewards the fastest and the most strategic participants and is not restricted to those riding “100% Solar”.
The Best Photo
This photo competition will aim at putting France’s beauty in the spotlight. We are still hammering out the details.
Audience Award
As we usually do at the end of Sun Trips, we will put our fans to the vote and let them designate the three participants who have best shared their adventure through web and media communication.
Jury’s Prize
Also in line with tradition, the organizing team will pick the three participants embodying best the Sun Trip values with their versatility.
