Let’s have a look back on the departure day of the Sun Trip France 2020, this July 14th in Lyon. At the start of the CISL éthic étapes, participants completed a symbolic passage through the Place des Terreaux (where current regulations did not allow an event to be held), before joining the domaine de Lacroix-Laval for the official launch.
The start was signaled at 12:45 pm, with around thirty solar bikes, in the presence of Fabien Bagnon, vice-president of the Métropole de Lyon in charge of active mobility, of Frédéric Rohmer, co-founder of ECOSUN Innovations, of Yves Franquelin, president of the national éthic étapes union, and Pascal Goubier, director of plant heritage for the Métropole de Lyon.
The Sun Trip was also greatly honored by the presence of the Chinese Consul General in Lyon, Mrs. LU Qingjiang. While waiting to be able to put the Lyon-Canton route back in place, we were happy to be able to associate it with this departure from the French tour.
Now direction Blois and the Château de Chambord, 400 km further north. Participants are free for 2.5 days. Everyone on their own route, each with their recharging strategy. Note that the weather was not forecast sunny for this Wednesday, July 15.
