More information on the start of the France 2020 Sun Trip in Lyon, a “nature start” symbolically scheduled on French National Day!
Tuesday, July 14, in the morning, participants will leave from our CISL Ethic étapes partner in Lyon, and take a detour through the city center at 10 am, before using the network of cycle paths to reach the Lacroix-Lavaal area (municipality of Marcy-L’étoile).
From 11 am the groups from the Strasbourg-Lyon prologue and the France Sun Trip will be present on the cycle path that crosses the park, at the entrance to “Parking Près de l’Etoile“, at this precise location. This country feel, in contact with walkers, will be accompanied by family activities.
The startoff will be at 1 pm, in the presence of representatives of the partner communities, and in particular of the Métropole de Lyon, manager of the Lacroix-Laval area.
This departure from an exceptional natural area, located 10km from the city center of Lyon, is a great way to start off of our dynamic solar tour of France.
Participants will then head north-west, towards Blois. A 400 km leg to be completed in 2.5 days. They are indeed expected on July 16 in the afternoon for a visit of the Château de Blois and a reception at the town hall at 5.30 pm.
