After 10 days of adventure, the participants arrive in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, to enjoy their first day off. A well-deserved day after already covering over 1200km, with some of Europe’s highest passes.
We settle into our ++ youth hostel, where we’ll be staying for two nights. On the evening of our arrival, we took the opportunity to spend some quality time in the town center, where the Brunnenfest was taking place: a typical festival of the region, with dirndl, beers and traditional dances! A convivial moment shared all together despite their day’s cycling, which started early in the morning.
The following day, participants use their day off to rest, fine-tune their bikes and think about the next stage of their adventure… all in sunshine and good spirits. We also welcome back Lionel Goddard, whom we hadn’t seen since the start in Chambéry. After numerous complications, he didn’t give up and was finally able to join the group in Germany. We’re also taking advantage of the evening to show some of the films we’ve made about the adventure.
