First big stage of the project, the route between Annecy and Andermatt offers the first border crossing towards Switzerland.
Part of the group chose to cross Lake Geneva and Evian, while the majority of the group took the Chamonix route before arriving in the Valais.
The report made for France 3, with a zoom on the young people of the Apprentis d’Auteuil who took part in the first stages.
The best climbers took advantage of this to go for points at the top of the Emosson dam road.

Stage 2 will officially end tomorrow afternoon but already a lot of participants have arrived in Andermatt. The weather forecast is bad tomorrow, but everyone should be able to reach the finish in time.

Arrival in Andermatt

Departure from Andermatt
30km further on, in the direction of Disentis, the group set off again, together, under an unexpected sun. At noon, we were welcomed for a last collective meal offered by the town, before taking the road again towards the next stage 300km further on: Innsbruck.
