After a bivouac by the lake, the participants gathered on the Paquier in Annecy for the start of stage 2 towards Andermatt in Switzerland. More than 300 km to be done, in free route and without assistance.
The start, given in the presence of Catherine Allard, deputy mayor of Annecy in charge of sports, was the occasion for the distribution of the very first yellow jersey in the history of the Sun Trip. A jersey that rewards those who go for the most points at the top of the Alpine passes.
For this first stage, the ranking gives two leaders : Emile Rivoire (Team GIANT – Hexatech) and Hugo Rousselot, with 210 points. Just behind them, the valiant Sibylle Felder is at 190 points! The solar challenge promises to be exciting.
The adventure has just begun.
