The 5th edition of The Sun Trip (original format), in round trip between France and Morocco!
“The Sun Trip – Destination Sahara” It will be a loop of about 7000 km to go to the first sand dunes of the Sahara, in the south of Morocco. Between the checkpoints we will find the idea of a free route and the adventurers will not benefit from any assistance.
The route 2024
Here the map of this great adventure, whose departure and arrival will be planned in France (more details soon). The departure will take place on 12th April 2024 in Lyon. For the first time in the history of the Sun Trip, the departure will be planned in April, in order to avoid the extreme summer temperatures known in the South of Morocco.
The checkpoints are: the Pierre Saint Martin pass in the Pyrenees, the Cabo Espichel lighthouse (south of Lisbon), Rabat, Oualidia, Taroudant, Sidi Ifni, Zagora, the Dades Valley and Chefchaouen for Morocco, and finaly Molina de Aragon in central Spain on the way back.
Only one authorised ferry connection : Tarifa/Tanger – Tanger/Tarifa.
One mandatory day off in Taroudant.

There will be 20 competitors at the start, including 2 duo teams. They represent 8 countries and two former winners will be taking part!
