If the main event in 2021 is the launching of the Sun Trip Europe, a 10,000 km adventure of free and unassisted itinerary, we are also putting in place several other regional events throughout the year! Pyrenees, Lyon-Brussels, Brittany, Corsica : you will then have many opportunities to join the Sun Trip community and get a glimpse of the solar bike travel experience.
Pirineos Sun Trip – end of April
A test edition of an itinerary imagined by the SunTripper Béatrice Cazanave! Initially scheduled for spring 2020, it was postponed due to the Covid19 crisis. We hope we will be able to set it up for next year. This adventure will be open to 15 participants, who will bike in average 80 to 100km per day in a mountainous environment from Pau to Pau, crossing the French and Spanish sides of the Pyrenees. Accommodation will be organized for the adventurers every evening and a small logistics team will accompany them.

Prologue Lyon-Brussels – from June 1st to 12th
This event will be the real kick off of the Sun Trip Europe 2021! It will bring together adventurers of the European tour, former participants as well as new profiles, curious to discover the solar bike trip experience and the atmosphere of the Sun Trip in general. Participants will be biking 100km per day on average on a mostly flat itinerary. This prologue is made to be accessible, in order to promote the advantages of the solar bike to a broad audience. It will be open to 30 participants.

Breizh Sun Trip – June 27 to July 7
This is the other big novelty of the year 2021! After the warm welcoming of the Sun Trip France 2020 Brittany, we imagined creating a 100% Breizh project for the summer of 2021. This event will be organized simultaneously to the start of the Tour de France 2021 in Brittany. The 10 to 15 days itinerary will be composed of over 1 000km. Imagined on a Sun Trip Tour format, collective gatherings will be organised every 2 days. This event is imagined with the EXPLORE and Low Tech Bzh teams, with the support of the Brittany Region. This regional Sun Trip will be open to 30 participants.

Corsica Sun Trip – beginning of october
The third edition of the Corsica Sun Trip in october 2021 is made for those wanting to enjoy the Sun in Autumn. The 700km itinerary goes from Bastia to Bonifacio, on the famous GT20, a bicycle route designed by the Corsica Tourism Agency (partner of the Sun Trip in 2019 and 2020). The stopping points on the itinerary will be programmed on a 100km average, often with steep drops. Accommodation is provided every evening. This adventure will be open to a group of around 15 participants.
